The movie version of Guile's theme from Street Fighter retains the familiar main melody loved by players, adding a guitar solo. The complete film soundtrack is expected to feature 39 tracks and is scheduled for release on October 16.
Guile's original theme was composed by Yoko Shimomura and first appeared in the 1991 arcade release of Street Fighter II. This melody later became a long-standing internet meme through online videos. The new version retains the main melody while making adjustments suitable for cinematic presentation.
The film's score is composed by Leo Birenberg and Zach Robinson. In their statement, the duo mentioned that early game soundtracks influenced their musical growth and expressed their admiration for Guile's original theme. The new version of the theme song is currently available on various music platforms.
The Street Fighter movie is also scheduled for release on October 16, with WWE wrestler Cody Rhodes portraying Guile.
