PC Version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next-Gen Update Experiences HairWorks Issues, Official Recommendation to Temporarily Disable

Following the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next-Gen Update, CD Projekt RED confirmed that NVIDIA HairWorks can significantly impact performance on the PC version and recommended that players temporarily disable this setting until a patch is released. Previously, some PC players encountered performance drops and visual glitches.

When HairWorks is enabled, Geralt's hair may appear unusually shiny or have a plastic-like texture. Some players have also reported performance drops and crashes. Disabling this setting is currently a temporary workaround for the related performance issues, as the problem has not yet been confirmed fixed.

The development team is also aware of DLSS issues in the Xbox Play Anywhere version and is working on a hotfix, hoping to release it soon.
