Pre-downloads for the Chinese server Beta test of "World of Warcraft: Infinite" are now open. The wipe test will run from October 6 to 26, with a global launch on November 5.
This title is Blizzard's third independent World of Warcraft product line, following the retail and Classic versions. Positioned as a modernized remake of early World of Warcraft, it continuously expands Azeroth's content within the classic level 60 framework.
The game retains the classic experience of the original version, with no flying mounts and no level scaling. It features visual upgrades to lighting and textures on the original Azeroth maps, supports controller input, and adds casual outdoor camping gameplay.
The new playable race, "Skyborn," originates from high elf exiles on Zephyr Island. Players can choose to join either the Alliance or the Horde, gaining access to unique skills and new Druid shapeshifting forms.
Content updates include over a thousand new quests and nine new dungeons. Raid tiers are planned with multiple difficulty levels: the 10-player mode of Crypt Hollow and the 20-player mode of Mount Hyjal will unlock on December 10, followed by a remake of the classic 40-player raid, Onyxia's Lair.
A new Account Legacy system has been added, allowing character progression to be shared across all characters on the same account.
PvP now features a new 15v15 battleground, Darkspear Island, with balanced mechanics for existing battlegrounds.
The Beta test level cap is 30. Players with active game time can participate, and those who pre-purchase the Skyborn Epic Pack can gain early access to the test servers.
The game is included with the World of Warcraft subscription at no extra cost. Future updates will continue to add Expert Mode, more dungeons, PvP content, and world expansion questlines.
