Wolcen Studio, the developer and publisher of the original loot-based ARPG Wolcen: Lords of Chaos, has announced its sequel, Wolcen 2. The game supports single-player or up to four-player co-op. It is scheduled to enter Early Access in 2027 on PC.
Set several years after Wolcen: Lords of Chaos, the world is in turmoil—Anathia, the goddess who guards the rift between reality and the demonic void, has been gravely wounded. Forced into exile, you will play as a Child of Shadow, joining other veterans with dark pasts to fulfill a prophecy that could save the world.

Wolcen: Lords of Chaos was released on February 13, 2020, receiving "Mostly Negative" reviews in Simplified Chinese on Steam. Players commented: "If the development team had shown the same dedication as Hello Games did with No Man's Sky, considering the players' needs, this game could have evolved into a highly acclaimed masterpiece through continuous improvements. However, the developers chose to abandon it. While the game features good visuals and unique gameplay, it suffers from too many game-breaking bugs, lacks depth, and has insufficient skills and equipment. Each area of expansion could have brought transformative changes—it's such a pity."
The Steam store page for Wolcen 2 is now live. Chinese is not included in the initial supported languages. The minimum graphics requirement is a GTX 1650.

Defy Fate
Years after the events of Wolcen: Lords of Chaos, the world has been pushed to the brink of destruction. The Commander, illegitimate child of the Shadow God, is forced to end his exile, while his companions become entangled in a prophecy. The prophecy states that the world will surely be saved, but sacrifices will inevitably be made. On their journey to save the world, the Commander and his companions (including veterans from the first game) must either reconcile with fate or defy it to the end. Enter a grim dark fantasy world, confront powers that distort reality, embark on a quest for freedom, make meaningful choices, and face the horrors beyond the rift alone or with a squad of up to four players.
No Classes
There are no predefined classes in the game. Your weapons unlock skills, while modifiers, talents, and extensive passive trees determine their effects. Create a melee mage, spellblade, casting tank, gunslinger, or a class entirely of your own invention. Your identity evolves with the choices you make.
Born from the Shadows
In fast-paced, rhythmic combat, you'll face ever-changing combinations of enemies, including melee attackers, ranged threats, and powerful foes. Chain different skills together to carve through dense hordes and take on brutal bosses. When the odds are against you, unleash your Shadow Form transformation to become a dark entity feared even by demons, annihilating enemies with overwhelming power.
Every Choice Shapes Your Power
Your skills, weapons, passives, and gear are designed to work together synergistically. Acquire core build items and gather materials to craft what your character needs. Experiment with synergies between different mechanics to change your combat style. Meanwhile, a well-structured system helps you understand and refine each build.
Campaigns End, War Is Endless
In Conquest mode, factions across the world vie for territory and power on dynamically shifting battlefields. The Tower of Wonders allows you to target specific rewards and influence the difficulty and outcome of each ascent. Both modes enable continuous progression, development of new builds, and long-term item collection.
An Ever-Changing World
Wolcen 2 is expected to enter Early Access in 2027 on PC. Development focuses on balance, performance, polish, and player feedback. We plan to release the full version on PC and current-generation consoles, with additional story content, events, and cosmetic items to come, continuously expanding the game world, systems, and endgame玩法.
