CDPR Releases Two Updates for The Witcher 3: Complete Edition on the Same Day, Addressing Console and PC Issues Separately

Following the release of "The Witcher 3: Enhanced Edition," CDPR released two updates on October 1st, addressing issues in the console and PC versions respectively. The earlier update targeted PS5, XSX|S, and the PC Xbox Play Anywhere version. The subsequent PC hotfix focused on fixing save files, voiceover volume, and performance issues.

The development team stated that an earlier update fixed the issue where DLSS was unavailable in the Xbox Play Anywhere version and addressed lighting anomalies. Additionally, the update included some adjustments aimed at making the performance of the relevant versions closer to that of the PC version.

The subsequent PC hotfix, with a download size of approximately 5GB, focused on fixing issues with saves not working properly, voiceover volume, and performance problems caused by NVIDIA Hairworks. The two updates targeted different platforms and addressed different issues; changes from the PC hotfix should not be directly considered as fixes already applied to the console versions.

The development team and community managers stated that other issues are still under investigation and being addressed. The team plans to fix the volume issues on console versions, but no patch date had been announced at the time.
