The trailers and gameplay footage revealed for GTA VI feature Jason and Lucia as the two playable protagonists, while also introducing other characters around them. Their relationship sits at the heart of the story, with heists and the music industry serving as clues to identifying other characters.
The trailer showcases Jason's daily life, his work for his employer, and the moment he picks Lucia up from prison. The pair seem eager to change their lives, yet the footage also includes scenes of them involved in car chases, armed robberies, and fights.
Jason's friend Carl appears to assist him with various tasks. The trailer also features scenes of Carl interacting with the two protagonists and other characters. Brian, Jason's employer, is another character who has been shown.
Key figures in the music industry include Buby and Drequan. Buby runs real estate, strip clubs, and recording studios; Drequan aims to make strides in the music scene and is associated with the group Real Dimez.
Another character, Raul, is an experienced bank robber. He may team up with Jason and Lucia, but this remains speculation about future plot developments; the content shown so far has not confirmed a partnership among the three.
