"Kena: Scars of Kosmora" Delayed to 2027 for Further Polishing

Recently, Ember Lab officially announced that the sequel, Kena: Scars of Kosmora, has been delayed from its original 2026 release window to 2027. The studio hopes to use the extra time to polish the game, ensuring it surpasses the quality of Kena: Bridge of Spirits released in 2021, and to complete the planned expanded experience.

《柯娜:科斯莫拉的伤痕》延期至2027年 需更多时间打磨

The developers stated that the sequel continues the linear adventure format of its predecessor but on a larger scale and with deeper content. Kena is now a more experienced Spirit Guide. She travels to Kosmora Island seeking a cure for her ailment and attempting to reconnect with a friend from her past.

On the island, a powerful corrupting force shatters Kena's staff, forcing her to master new elemental abilities. The game will also see Kena discover and nurture Spirit Companions, using their powers to solve puzzles and combat enemies with her new elemental skills.

The studio has not provided specific reasons for the delay. Kena: Scars of Kosmora is currently confirmed only for PS5 and PC, with no specific release date announced for 2027 yet.
