Christopher Abbott, who will play Professor X in the new X-Men film, stated that he believes this new movie will be better than Kraven the Hunter, in which he also starred. This was his response when directly asked to compare the two films during an interview with Josh Horowitz.
Discussing his experience filming Kraven the Hunter, Abbott said he was unaware of his character's superpowers and some of the performance arrangements at the time. He also praised the other actors in the film.
Regarding the new X-Men film, Abbott expressed excitement about working with director Jake Schreier. He also mentioned that he enjoyed the X-Men animated series as a child and was familiar with the related comics and toys. The new X-Men film is currently scheduled for release on May 5, 2028.
