The action-adventure game "Kena: Echoes of Kosmora" has been delayed and is now scheduled for release on PS5 and PC in 2027, with no specific launch date confirmed yet. Developed by Ember Lab and published by Sony, this title is the sequel to "Kena: Bridge of Spirits," which was released in 2021.
The development team stated that they aim to surpass the quality of the previous installment while expanding the game's scale, which requires more time to polish the extended adventure content. They describe the new title as a journey with broader scope and deeper content.
In the story, Kena has become a more mature and experienced Spirit Guide. She travels to Kosmora Island seeking guidance while confronting her own inner struggles. The island's culture and history revolve around four elements; after a disaster struck one settlement, parts of its history became obscured.
Each culture on the island has its own Spirit Guide Shrine. These locations resemble large dungeons, and completing them grants rewards that advance the adventure. The giant crystal wolf featured in the first trailer is Kena's mount, aiding her in movement, combat, and puzzle-solving.
