The multiplayer shooter War Dogs launched on September 10 and is currently still in Early Access on Steam. Rhys Elliott, Head of Market Analysis at Alinea Analytics, estimates that the game has generated over $100 million in cumulative revenue on Steam, with sales of approximately 3.2 million copies.
According to Elliott's statistics, War Dogs generated approximately $86.9 million in revenue from launch through the end of September; including pre-order revenue, its cumulative Steam revenue exceeded $100 million. The aforementioned revenue and sales figures are estimates by third-party analysts.
Within similar but not identical statistical windows, ARC Raiders and Helldivers 2 generated revenues of $125 million and $130 million respectively, both higher than that of War Dogs.
Elliott also stated that War Dogs has around 250,000 players logging in daily. According to his statistics, the title accounted for approximately one-third of Steam's September revenue from new IP releases in 2026.
