The updated Grand Theft Auto VI fact sheet lists November 19, 2026, as the release target, along with edition prices, map, and character details. The game was initially announced for a 2025 release window, which was later adjusted to May 26, 2026, and then to November 19, 2026.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick stated in February 2026 that the November 19 target remains on track. The compiled information lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as launch platforms; the PC version has not yet been officially confirmed.
The summary lists the Standard Edition at $80 and the Ultimate Edition at $100. Both editions include in-game items with pre-order, and pre-ordering through digital stores also grants one month of GTA+. The Ultimate Edition additionally includes vehicles, weapons, outfits, and some content related to the protagonists' stories.
The summary also states that the physical edition contains only a digital redemption code, with no disc included; there is also a $399 Collector's Edition that does not include the game.
The story returns to Vice City and expands into the fictional state of Leonida. Art Director Aaron Garbut told Game Informer that the new map is approximately twice the size of Grand Theft Auto V's world, and is denser and more interactive. Players will control Jason and Lucia; the two become entangled in a statewide criminal conspiracy after a botched operation.
