The beta version of "World of Warcraft: Infinite" has reduced the experience provided by dungeon quests, and the power of reward equipment for related quests has also decreased, causing dissatisfaction among some players. The game is still in testing and is scheduled for release on November 4th. The development team stated that they are still discussing leveling speed and adjusting the leveling pace based on test feedback.
Previously, to prevent high-level characters from quickly gaining experience by carrying low-level players in dungeons, the game made dungeon enemies provide little or no experience, while increasing dungeon quest experience so that players who complete dungeons normally could still be rewarded. This change further reduces quest experience.
Taking quests related to Shadowfang Keep as an example, the total quest experience has been reduced from 32,200 to 19,800; leveling up from level 22 to 23 requires 27,300 experience. For some Horde races, traveling to this dungeon also takes extra time. Foreign media outlet DualShockers is concerned that the leveling benefits players gain after making a special trip to the dungeon may not meet expectations.
The game is adding new quests, but foreign media believes there are still gaps in experience progression during leveling, and the previously increased dungeon quest experience could fill part of that gap. The simultaneous reduction in quest experience and reward item power has also led some players to consider whether it's still worth making a special trip to dungeons as part of their normal leveling route.
