Gintama Officially Designates October 10 as "Gintama Day" with a 10-Hour Anime Marathon

The official Gintama anime announced that October 10, Sakata Gintoki's birthday, has been designated as "Gintama Day," featuring a ten-hour marathon of the anime. The event will also include a live stream on the series' official YouTube channel.

The Gintama anime premiered in April 2006 and will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. "Gintama Day" is an official celebration centered around the character's birthday and is one of the anniversary projects rolling out this year.

The anniversary celebrations also include screenings of Gintama: The Final Chapter - Be Forever Yorozuya in select theaters across Japan. The currently announced schedule for "Gintama Day" consists of a live stream on the official channel and a ten-hour anime marathon.
