This action RPG was originally scheduled for release on August 20, but Deluxe Edition players could start playing early on August 17. This early access led to the full version of the game quickly appearing on piracy sites. The developers did not include a separate anti-piracy system for Mortal Shell 2, relying only on Steam's built-in DRM. Once early access for the Deluxe Edition began, pirated versions spread almost immediately across various specialized websites. As a result, many players were able to experience the full version before the official release.
Moreover, this leak occurred just a few days before the game's release, when developers had already started releasing launch materials and the first batch of media reviews had appeared. Mortal Shell 2 will launch on PC and consoles on August 20.
