Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis will end its service on October 6, after which the game will no longer be playable. This free-to-play title centers around characters from Final Fantasy VII and also explores Sephiroth's past.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis was launched by Square Enix and AppLibot, releasing on the App Store and Google Play on September 7, 2023, with a Steam version following on December 6 of the same year. The game also features characters such as Glenn, Matt, and Lucia.
A statement attributed to Square Enix, cited in the report, said that the team had been striving to provide a good playing experience since the game's launch on various platforms. After careful consideration, the team concluded that it would be difficult to continue maintaining the service, and thus decided to shut it down.
