Marvel Comics' Doctor Strange #10 marks the series finale. Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff makes magic reappear after it was destroyed in her final battle against Annihilus, then vanishes, leaving the Sorcerer Supreme position vacant once again. The ending still leaves clues about her whereabouts.
Previously, after Doctor Doom's death, the Sorcerer Supreme position remained vacant. When Wanda took over, she did not receive the Vishanti's approval, and their conflict carried through to the final battle. After Wanda stops other "Annihilation Weapons," Annihilus turns the Vishanti into a new weapon, threatening all magic. In the crisis, Wanda and the Vishanti acknowledge that both sides bear responsibility for their conflict.
Subsequently, the weapon erupts, destroying both Annihilus and magic itself. Wanda uses chaos magic to restore magic, bringing the Vishanti back to life; however, other characters are initially unable to locate or sense Wanda.
At the end of this issue, a woman saves a child from being hit by a car, and the scene then shows Wanda smiling at the child. Although she had disappeared earlier, this moment leaves her fate ambiguous.
