Players of "Minecraft Dungeons 2" have reported that on the Nintendo Switch 2, Deluxe Edition additional content appears to be accessible only to the eShop account that purchased it. Other accounts on the same console can play the base game, but attempting to access the additional content prompts a message to purchase the upgrade pack.
The game has launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC, with the PC version available via Steam and the Microsoft Store. The Deluxe Edition includes DLC, cosmetics, and other additional content. Currently listed prices for the Nintendo Switch version are $29.99 for the Standard Edition and $49.99 for the Deluxe Edition, with a standalone upgrade costing $19.99.
This phenomenon involves players using different accounts on the same console, a situation that may also affect families where parents and children use separate accounts. PS5 users have reported similar issues, but there is currently insufficient information to confirm whether the behavior is identical across both platforms.
At present, neither the platform holders nor the developers have issued an official statement regarding the cause, scope, or resolution of the issue. Mojang had not yet commented at the time this news was published.
