Gears of War: E-Day Distributes 15,000 Coins to Players Due to Launch Issues

The development team for Gears of War: E-Day has issued 15,000 in-game coins to affected players experiencing access issues preventing them from entering the game. This compensation follows the resolution of the previously reported "Marcus-Cavalier" error message.

The official Gears of War community account confirmed that the issue has been resolved and that the 15,000 coins granted this time do not count toward players' weekly coin acquisition caps, applying only to users who encountered game access problems.

The development team also addressed reports from some players still encountering the "You're entering too early" message. According to the official statement, players wishing to access the game via the Premium Edition Upgrade Pack must meet two conditions simultaneously.

Players must either purchase the base game of Gears of War: E-Day directly or hold an active Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass membership on their account, and they must also own the Premium Edition Upgrade Pack.

In other words, players who purchase the Premium Edition Upgrade Pack must have the base game linked to their account, either through a direct purchase or an active Game Pass Ultimate/PC Game Pass subscription.

Gears of War: E-Day is developed by The Coalition and published by Xbox Game Studios. The story is set 14 years before the original Gears of War, following Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during the initial Locust Horde invasion.

Gears of War: E-Day will officially launch on PC and Xbox Series X|S on October 6, 2026, with Premium Edition owners gaining early access five days prior, starting October 1.
