The forensic deduction adventure game Bone to Pick has been announced. Developed and published by Studio K Games, it is scheduled for release in Q1 2027 on Steam with Chinese language support. A playable demo will be available on October 8.
Recover identities and truths from a single bone. A visual novel-style deduction adventure set in a forensic anthropology laboratory. Interpret bones and evidence through a scientific lens, investigate scenes and conduct repeated experiments alongside distinctive colleagues, gradually closing in on the true culprit. Seven deceased await the return of their names, featuring 14 gameplay mechanics that faithfully replicate forensic work, plus a very well-behaved Dog.exe.

You are a new intern at the Forensic Anthropology Laboratory.
This is their final resting place—those with no name, no origin, only piles of bones sent here. Inside exploded cars, deep in riverbeds, amidst the ashes of incinerators. Your job is to interpret these bones and return names to the dead.
Clean the Bones
Bones are dirty, and you can't do anything with them. It's not dishes you're washing, but bones. Arrange the skeletons.
Sometimes, the missing bone is the clue. Put every piece back where it belongs.
Piece Together Fragments
Cases can shatter bones. Piece the fragments back together to uncover what the damage hides. Use laser illumination.

Send the real culprit to prison. Every piece of evidence will steer the case in a new direction.
Read age, sex, old injuries, and cause of death from the bones. Pick out diatoms from river mud under a microscope, take casts from tire tracks or animal bite marks, and search the scene for evidence everyone else missed. Forensic techniques are diverse.
