The Leonida map in "GTA 6" is reportedly about twice the size of "GTA V," divided into six regions. Details about the game's opening story, weather, and activities are also found in summaries of the latest issue of Game Informer.
The story seems to begin with players controlling Jason, while Lucia is still in prison. Later, the pair take on what appears to be a simple job in pursuit of a better life, only to become entangled in a mystery spanning all of Leonida.
Leonida is divided into Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grass Rivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Karajoa National Park. The compiled information also refers to it as the largest map Rockstar has ever created. The game also features a ride-hailing app called RydeMe, allowing players to chat with other NPCs and listen to music while riding.
The weather system is described as dynamic, with different conditions possible in different locations: you might see distant thunderstorms and clear skies simultaneously while flying. After rain, puddles and wet surfaces remain on the ground; wind also affects clothing, hair, and the environment. Hurricanes will appear in the game, though their specific gameplay impact remains unclear.
The number of animal species is said to exceed 170, including 60 types of birds and over 30 terrestrial mammals. The compiled information also lists activities such as skydiving, billiards, fitness, and kayaking, and notes that NPCs' clothing, hairstyles, and tattoos vary according to regional backgrounds.
