Team Liquid defeated LYON 3-1 in the 2026 League of Legends LCS Summer Split Finals to claim the Summer Split title. LYON had previously won that year's Lock-In and Spring Split championships, and this loss prevented their jungler, Inspired, from securing his sixth consecutive regional title.
Team Liquid's map control, team coordination, and teamfight execution in the finals were key to their victory. Jungler Brandon "Josedeodo" Villegas earned Finals MVP for his performances on Lee Sin, Qiyana, and Wukong.
Before the start of the 2026 season, Team Liquid revamped their roster, retaining only the bot lane duo of Yeon and CoreJJ from the previous lineup. They were joined by mid laner Quid, jungler Josedeodo, and top laner Morgan. The new roster placed fourth at the Lock-In tournament and gradually improved their results thereafter. Veteran CoreJJ and head coach Spawn provided support for the team's synergy and fundamentals.
After winning the Summer Split championship, head coach Spawn set his sights on the 2026 World Championship.
