11 bit studios announced that Frostpunk will launch on the original Nintendo Switch on October 19, featuring a Complete Edition with three expansions. This strategy game, released in 2018, centers on societal survival in harsh environments, requiring players to maintain the operations of their settlement.
The Complete Edition includes The Last Autumn, On the Edge, and The Borders of the Empire. The message lists the Complete Edition at $45 and the base version at $30.
This port is for the original Nintendo Switch. Over the past year, many third-party ports have shifted toward the Switch 2; related reports indicate that Frostpunk can also run on the Switch 2, but 11 bit studios has not yet clarified the performance differences between the two consoles. Specific adjustments to controls and visuals have also not been announced.
Frostpunk 2 was released in 2024. 11 bit studios is also working on a remake of the original titled Frostpunk: 1886.
