October 6, 2026 — Battlestate Games released Escape from Tarkov version 1.2.0.0. This update primarily features significant improvements to the PvE gameplay experience and the launch of the new "EXFIL Brothers" project — a system designed to encourage veteran players to invite new players.

PvE

PvE has undergone major changes, including optimized AI behavior logic and a brand-new progression system, further enhancing the gameplay experience players are already familiar with:

● Rebirth: Players can unlock 6 Rebirth levels in PvE, each with special rewards including the in-game currency TarCoin. All rewards obtained through Rebirth are permanently retained on PvE characters and will not be lost even if the stash is reset.

● AI PMC: The behavior logic of AI PMCs has been reworked. They are now distributed more logically across the map and tend to cluster in mission areas. They will fight each other less frequently, focusing instead on attacking Scavs. Additionally, AI players' gear and weapons are now tied to their character level and faction. New AI PMC spawn points have also been added to the Labyrinth.

● Other: Players can now purchase in-game Ruble bundles in PvE mode.

EXFIL Brothers

The EXFIL Brothers project aims to encourage veteran players to invite new players into the game, team up for battles, and unlock exclusive rewards.

● Format: Veteran players (Operators) who have reached character level 30 can invite up to 5 new players (Candidates) who have registered within the last 7 days. When Operators and Candidates play together in a party, they receive a 5% XP bonus.

● Rewards: When Candidates reach specific level requirements, players will receive in-game Rubles, Bitcoins, and various exclusive containers. Additionally, Operators can earn high-value rewards based on the game version purchased by the Candidate, including the in-game currency TarCoin, posters, Operator tops, and "Basic Training" Hideout decorations.

● Progression: Reward progress is linked to the Candidate's game progress — creating a character and reaching levels 10, 20, and 30 all advance reward progress. Rewards are issued to the game mode where the progress was achieved. For character accounts that have already made some progress, eligible rewards will be issued immediately upon joining the program.
