Recently, the Battlefield 6 development team announced that Season 5 is scheduled to launch on October 13, adding three new maps, two of which are themed around Las Vegas and Area 51.
The Las Vegas map brings combat to the Strip and casino areas, allowing players to cause destruction within large buildings. The Area 51-themed map, named "Raid Restricted," includes open desert, airspace for aircraft operations, and underground tunnels suitable for tank battles.
Season 5 will also introduce six new weapons, two new vehicles, and unlock "Operation High Roller" along with the ability to form Platoons. "Blackwell Fields" and "New Sobek City" will also return in updated forms.
The REDSEC segment will add a free-to-play mode called "Rapid Royale." This mode features faster-paced battle royale matches where players earn redeployments through kills; ranked battle royale will also be added this season.
