Ubisoft Says Watch Dogs Remains Important, But Don't Expect a New Title Soon

In response to investor questions about the future of the Watch Dogs series, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated that the franchise remains an "important brand" for the company's future. He did not provide details on next steps.

Based on this, journalist Stephen Totilo concluded that there appears to be no new Watch Dogs title currently in active development. Ubisoft has neither announced the cancellation of a new entry nor revealed any plans or timeline for the next game.

The first Watch Dogs game was released in 2014, with its sequel set in San Francisco. Watch Dogs: Legion, launched in 2020, attempted to let players control any non-player character in the game world, but received mixed reviews from players.

The Watch Dogs movie has completed filming, with reshoots taking place last year, but no release date has been announced yet.
