Get ready to return to the world of cyberpunk, where only the ruthless survive and one wrong step can mean death. This standalone story brings a new cast of characters into the darkest corners of Night City, depicting a brutal and unforgiving future. Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor, the showrunner, writer, and producer of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, previously stated that David will not return, as his story concluded in the first season.
"David's story may have ended, but Night City still holds many more wonders for us to explore. We at CD Projekt Red are thrilled to once again join forces with the legendary animation studio Trigger to present an epic tale of redemption and revenge that stands apart from our previous works."
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is a joint production by CD Projekt Red and Trigger, directed by Kai Ikarashi (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, SSSS.Gridman), with Kanno Ichigo (Promare, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners) serving as chief designer, and the script written by Masahiko Otsuka and Bartosz Sztybor.
