An XFX Swift RX 9070 GRE graphics card listed on Best Buy is priced at $550, which remains its launch price rather than a promotional discount. With recent price increases for similar graphics cards, this unchanged price has drawn attention.
Some RX 9070 GRE models from ASUS and Gigabyte had previously dropped to $500, but current quotes have since rebounded. Prices for certain NVIDIA graphics cards are also higher than their suggested retail prices. For comparison, the RX 9070, which also has a suggested retail price of $550, is currently being quoted at up to $700.
The RX 9070 GRE comes with 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM. PC Gamer's previous review of the Acer Nitro version considered it competitive against the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5070, though it generally still falls short of the higher-tier RTX 5070.
The relevant performance data comes from tests across several games at 1440p resolution, under various quality settings and upscaling conditions, and cannot be directly applied to all games and configurations. Based on current quotes, there is a significant difference in the actual purchase price between two graphics cards that both have a suggested retail price of $550.
