A set of character previews for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake showcases new designs for Saria, Darunia, and Princess Ruto. The trio serves as both Link's companions and the Seven Sages in the story. These previews were reportedly released by Nintendo UK's social media accounts.
Darunia remains the largest of the three characters, with more elaborate decorations on his clothing and limbs than before. Saria's attire features a design similar to Link's Kokiri outfit. Princess Ruto's appearance has undergone fewer changes, but additional details have been added.
The previews also mention that characters will have more detailed facial expressions and voice acting in the main story. This showcase features Princess Ruto's childhood appearance; her adult form, which appears later in the plot, has not yet been revealed.
Beyond the characters, the previews describe more detailed Hyrule environments, an expanded Castle Town, and a "Timeline Tapestry" that gradually fills in as the story progresses. Current reports indicate that the game will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5.
