The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 has begun airing, with Maomao facing new mysteries to solve. Series author Natsu Hyuuga stated that this season was approved to include additional material, allowing certain plot points to be presented more fully.
Natsu Hyuuga discussed the adaptation on social media, noting that many parts of Season 3 are ahead of the manga in terms of progress. The original series is a novel, and since the manga has already expanded on much of the content in greater depth, the anime was granted permission to incorporate supplementary material.
Natsu Hyuuga did not reveal which scenes would feature the new material, nor did she explain how it would alter the original story. What can be confirmed is that the anime will use this material to flesh out the presentation of certain plot elements.
Season 3 is planned for a total of 24 episodes, split into two parts: the first half will conclude in the fall, and the second half is expected to continue in April of the following year. Viewers in different regions can watch it on Crunchyroll or Netflix.
