GTA 6 is coming soon. At least for console players. Rockstar Games' highly anticipated open-world crime game is officially scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms, but PC players will need to wait a bit longer to experience the game.
Speculation on the Release Date of GTA 6 for PC
Foreign media outlet GameSpot predicts that the PC version of GTA 6 will be released in the first quarter of 2028, meaning it will launch approximately 15-18 months after the console version. This prediction is not based on any leaks or insider information, but rather references Rockstar's history of releasing PC versions later than their console counterparts.
It's worth noting that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V was released 19 months after the console version, while there was a 12-month gap between the console and PC releases of Red Dead Redemption 2.
GameSpot expressed greater confidence in this prediction because Twitch CEO Dan Clancy previously revealed that the online mode for GTA 6 would launch sometime in 2027.
Clancy speculated that Twitch viewership would surge when the multiplayer mode launches in 2027. This could imply that Rockstar plans to refine and release the multiplayer experience for GTA 6 before the PC version arrives.
