ARC Raiders Slows Down Content Update Pace; Producer Encourages Players Who Have Finished Current Content to Take a Break

Aleksander Grøndal, Executive Producer of ARC Raiders, stated that the team is slowing down the pace of continuous content releases, preparing to sustain the game with larger updates. He encourages players who have exhausted the current content to take a break, try other games, and return after a few more updates.

Embark previously strove to keep up with the pace at which players consumed content. Now, the team has adjusted its rhythm and is preparing to release a larger batch of new content with "The Frozen Path," launching on October 8, while reverting to the development practices used in the game's early stages.

In an interview, Grøndal mentioned that a few months ago, the team was deeply dissatisfied with the content race driven by live-service demands, but the situation has since improved. In his view, it is difficult for developers to consistently produce new content at the same speed players consume it, as player counts and engagement levels naturally fluctuate.

The team will continue to develop systems that retain core players over the long term, while also providing content for newcomers. For those who have already experienced all available content, Grøndal hopes future updates will entice them to return; he believes that players dividing their time among more games may also create opportunities for new titles.
