Publisher Top Hat Studios and developer 13th Street Games have announced that the release window for the psychological survival horror game "Coronation" has been delayed from Fall 2026 to Q1 2027. The previously announced PC version will still launch on Steam, with this update also confirming new versions for PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2.
A new trailer released alongside the announcement showcases the game's current horror style. The publisher stated that "Coronation" has undergone significant changes since its initial reveal a few years ago: while it originally leaned closer to classic psychological horror, it now incorporates the atmosphere of 1970s and 1980s exploitation films, the surreal black satire of French horror, and elements of Russian culture and literature.
The story follows Richard Torrance, who believes happiness can be forcibly seized through willpower yet constantly feels empty. Players will explore his relationships in both reality and strange dimensions, ultimately deciding his fate. As Richard pursues happiness and a sense of control, his surroundings gradually become bizarre and unsettling.
