Gundam: G-Revelations has released a PS5 gameplay video. Featuring narration, the video sequentially introduces the story, action gameplay, and mech customization, offering a more detailed look at the game than a short trailer. Released by Bandai Namco, the footage follows protagonist RE-X from a mission briefing aboard the Stellarvane to actual combat on the dusty surface of Mars, showcasing the game's core gameplay loop.
The mech customization shown in the video left a strong impression on the Push Square writer, though he questioned whether such extensive options are typical for Gundam titles. According to official information, players can adjust the Gundam Helix's weapons, frame, thrusters, and "Apocalypse Units," as well as freely set color schemes, including those for the internal skeleton and glowing parts. The frame is divided into five sections—head, torso, arms, legs, and back thrusters—with different components affecting the mech's durability and performance.
Push Square noted that the game features fast-paced, accessible combat, while offering depth through combo systems and boost gauge management, making it less demanding than the Armored Core series.
