Apex Legends 3.22 Update Fixes Terrain Glitches! Cross-Platform Matchmaking Test Enabled by Default for NA West Console Players

Apex Legends has received a minor update on consoles and PC, fixing issues such as missing terrain on the Broken Moon map. Respawn Entertainment also announced that it will begin testing default cross-platform matchmaking for console players on North American West servers starting October 7.

The update version displayed on consoles is 3.22 or 1.000.137. This patch introduces no new content and primarily fixes two issues: missing ground geometry in the Terraformer area of the Broken Moon map, which could cause players to clip through the ground; and Gibraltar's skydive emote sound effects, which might continue playing after landing.

The matchmaking test is scheduled to begin around 10 AM PT on October 7 and will continue until the season ends on November 3. During the test, cross-platform matchmaking will be enabled by default for all console players on North American West servers. The development team stated that this move aims to reduce queue times and ensure closer skill levels between opposing teams.

Console players who do not wish to participate can disable cross-platform play in the settings menu. This test is limited to North American West servers and has a defined end date.
