The Deluxe Edition of Rayman Legends: Retold features a retro costume for Globox inspired by the Hunter from the original Rayman. The game was originally scheduled for release in October but has been delayed to December; Ubisoft stated that the extra time will be used to polish the launch version.
Globox's costume does not retain the old blocky design; instead, he wears purple pants, a pink shirt, a monocle, and sports a long beard. The Deluxe Edition's Retro Costume Pack also covers three other playable characters: Rayman's outfit is based on the original 1995 game, Barbara's design draws inspiration from Betilla the Fairy, and Grand Minimus receives an Electoon Teensie-style costume.
The Deluxe Edition costs $10 more than the Standard Edition and, in addition to the Retro Costume Pack, includes an in-game gallery featuring development art, sketches, and behind-the-scenes images. The game includes the enhanced version of Rayman Origins; Rayman Legends: Retold itself has been visually remade using the Snowdrop engine, with new levels and dragon-riding segments added, and the Kung Foot mode completely overhauled.
Both editions also feature preorder costumes inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. Rayman's Metal Mania outfit references the Heavy Metal Fist ability, while Globox's preorder costume is based on the Hoodmonger enemy.
