Publisher Serafini Productions and developer Mike Ten have announced that the management horror game The Hambagu Shop will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam on January 11, 2027.
Players take on the role of Mari, who inherits a Japanese-style Hambagu Shop left by her late grandfather. She must learn to manage the shop, grill hamburger steaks for customers, and complete meals by placing the patties over rice and adding toppings.
As the shop grows, players can unlock more side dishes and drinks to handle increasingly complex recipes and the varying tastes of regular customers. Earnings from operations can also be used to upgrade the shop.
Beyond managing the business, Mari may witness unsettling sights while serving customers and begin to suspect the shop is haunted. The game features a creepy atmosphere, sudden jump scares, and a gradually unfolding story, all enhanced by a VHS filter that gives the in-store scenes a retro and eerie look.
