Golfing Greats and Ripple Island, both originally released in 1988, are scheduled to launch on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch on October 8. Notably, Ripple Island was previously only available in Japan, marking its first release outside the region.
Golfing Greats was first released by SNK as an arcade title in 1988 and ported to the NES that same year. Ripple Island is an adventure game developed by Sunsoft. These two new releases are part of Hamster's ongoing Arcade Archives and Console Archives projects.
In addition to running on new hardware, the ports will also feature VRR support, save points, customizable screen filters, and a new game mode.
As for pricing, Ripple Island is priced at $7.99 on both the Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Store. The PS5 version of Golfing Greats is priced at $9.99, while the PS4 and Switch versions are priced at $7.99.
