SCS Software has revealed the sightseeing missions coming to the upcoming Coaches expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Players will drive buses to transport holidaymakers to and from attractions, starting from a bus station and returning to the starting point after the tour.
Sightseeing destinations include natural landscapes, city centers, and industrial facilities open to the public. Attractions vary in fame and size, resulting in trips of different lengths. Some sites have specific opening hours, so players must consider arrival times when planning their routes.
Upon arrival, the game showcases the sights through scenic viewpoints and short cutscenes from the passengers' perspective. Many locations also feature brief descriptions to provide background information. After the tour, drivers must safely return the passengers to their starting point.
The development team stated that sightseeing missions offer a more relaxed schedule compared to contract jobs, allowing players to enjoy the scenery along the way. Unlike truck freight, quick jobs, and contract missions, these tasks involve bus trips transporting passengers, requiring players to manage both outbound and return journeys as well as the opening hours of certain attractions.
