Recently, mod author gabdeg released a graphical tech demo for Bloodborne, showcasing the visual effects when the game runs on shadPS4 combined with NVIDIA RTX Remix and DLSS-related rendering features. The project is currently in an early experimental stage.
The demo showcases scenes such as the Hunter's Dream, Iosefka's Clinic, and Central Yharnam, comparing visuals with neural rendering enabled and disabled. RTX Remix primarily targets games using older graphics pipelines. Converting Bloodborne's entire rendering pipeline to a legacy DirectX 9 pipeline could lead to compatibility issues and increase draw call overhead. Therefore, gabdeg converted static geometry in the environment into a format compatible with RTX Remix, while dynamic geometry like characters is still passed directly from the game running via shadPS4.
gabdeg believes this approach may provide a reference for other games that are typically incompatible with RTX Remix, but technical issues remain unresolved. The author has not yet announced a release date; the video does not indicate that an official port or a complete enhancement mod is available for download.
