The Witcher 3: Complete Edition has released update 5.01, fixing issues with controls and saves, and adding graphics options for console versions. The update has been pushed to all platforms, with console players seeing download version number 5.000.400.
In terms of gameplay, the patch fixes anomalies with automatic sword oil application persisting across game sessions, as well as issues where boats would move on their own and ignore terrain collision. Issues with dodge response delay, or dodging while sprinting causing complete stamina depletion, have also been fixed.
PS5 and XSX|S now have options for bloom, light beams, and depth of field. The patch also adjusts bloom, tone mapping, character lighting, ray tracing, and path tracing effects, along with performance optimizations.
Other fixes include significantly lower voice volume compared to other game audio after switching the pause menu on consoles, PS5 settings resetting on launch, frame rate caps for different graphics modes on the base PS5, and visual artifacts caused by dynamic resolution under certain configurations. The patch also fixes issues that could affect save data.
