The PS5 physical edition listing for Phantom Blade Zero previously appearing on PlayAsia has been taken down, suggesting the game may only be available digitally at launch. However, developer S-Game has not yet confirmed any plans for a physical release, and the removal of the listing does not necessarily mean such plans have been canceled.
The earlier listing on PlayAsia gave hope to players wishing to purchase a disc version, hinting at a possible physical release. However, since no other retailers opened pre-orders for a physical edition of Phantom Blade Zero, the legitimacy of this retail listing was also called into question.
Tech4Gamers speculated, based on changes to the webpage, that the game might only be available in a digital edition at launch. Reddit user FMShiNoKama emailed Play-Asia to verify this claim. Play-Asia responded: "We have been informed that the game will not receive a physical release, so the item has been removed from our product listings."
Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled for release later this month. S-Game has not officially stated whether a physical edition will be produced, so players must wait for official confirmation regarding launch availability.
