Marvel Comics has released a preview of the first issue of X-Witch. In the story, a demon escapes from Limbo and begins threatening humans and mutants; Magik, Juggernaut, and Madelyne Pryor will join forces to stop its rampage. The comic will run for five issues, with the first issue scheduled for release on November 18.
Magik and Juggernaut are both members of the X-Men, while Madelyne Pryor is known as the "Queen of Limbo." Writer Ashley Allen noted that both Magik and Madelyne are powerful, intelligent, and have experienced trauma, but they handle their pasts differently. Their partnership thus involves both tension and mutual understanding.
Allen also stated that the story will blend supernatural horror with character-driven emotion, with threats spanning Limbo and Earth. She is writing the series, with art by German Peralta; the two previously collaborated on a comic centered around Magik. The final order deadline for the first issue is October 12.
