Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has revealed five ways to enter DMZ matches. Players can enter on foot at a random location for free, or spend DMZ Cash to deploy via vehicles; the highest tier costs $100,000 in DMZ Cash per entry.
In addition to the free entry, paying $5,000 in DMZ Cash allows your squad to enter the match in a Polaris Dagor A1 off-road vehicle; $25,000 unlocks the more heavily armored Light Tactical Vehicle, $50,000 lets you deploy via helicopter, and the $100,000 tier is for an aerial vehicle.
Light Tactical Vehicles and Helicopters each have story mission unlock requirements, so they cannot be selected immediately even if you have enough cash. Vehicles that enter the match will remain on the field, leading Eurogamer's author to worry that different entry methods may affect squad mobility, objective completion, and extraction efficiency. The specific capabilities of the highest-tier aerial vehicle have not yet been confirmed.
The preview also showcased the Forward Operating Base outside of matches. Players can upgrade and customize weapons, unlock operator skills, and craft items using 3D printers there. The DMZ mode is scheduled to launch alongside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III on October 23.
