DAVE THE DIVER will receive a free update in the first half of 2027, joining forces with Unknown Worlds for a cross-dimensional deep-sea adventure.
Korean game company MINTROCKET (CEO Hwang Jae-ho) announced today that its hybrid ocean adventure game, DAVE THE DIVER, will release a new DLC featuring a crossover with Subnautica 2: Alien Waters.
This DLC is collaborative content developed by MINTROCKET in partnership with Unknown Worlds, a creative studio under KRAFTON (CEO Kim Chang-han). Themed around Subnautica 2: Alien Waters, it is scheduled to be released as a free update in the first half of 2027.
With this DLC, players will join Dave and Bancho in crossing dimensions to explore the unfamiliar waters of 'Proteus.' They will collect never-before-seen marine creatures in a mysterious ecosystem, unlock exotic recipes, and meet new companions. A key highlight of this DLC is the encounter with the giant deep-sea monster, the 'Leviathan,' during exploration.
Hwang Jae-ho, CEO of MINTROCKET and producer of DAVE THE DIVER, said: "As this is the final DLC for DAVE THE DIVER, we wanted to give it special significance, so we prepared a crossover with Subnautica 2: Alien Waters, which many players have been requesting. Although both games are set in the ocean, their approaches are vastly different, allowing us to create a new wave within DAVE THE DIVER. We hope to bring players a fresh and surprising adventure."
Anthony Gallegos, Creative Director at Unknown Worlds, stated: "We are thrilled to collaborate with MINTROCKET. Both teams genuinely admire each other's work, and we believe this DLC will offer a special experience for players of both games."
