"X-Force: Under Attack" Steam Version to Be Delisted on October 30! Existing Owners Can Still Download and Play

Developer Cube Games announced on October 6 that the PC Steam version of the vertical scrolling shooter X-Force: Under Attack will be delisted on October 30. Players who purchase the game before it is removed will still be able to download and play it. The Xbox and Switch versions were already delisted in October 2025, and the PS5 version was removed in June of this year.

Set in space, X-Force: Under Attack allows players to choose one of four mechs, each with unique abilities and attack styles. Players must dodge bullet hell patterns, defeat enemies, and take down bosses across ten stages. Between levels, players can use resources dropped by enemies to upgrade their attacks, shields, drones, and bombs.

Cube Games explained the delisting as part of a major restructuring of the X-Force series. The developer also plans to release a large free update to improve gameplay for the previous title, X-Force: Genesis, and intends to launch a sequel, X-Force: Genesis 2.

As of the time this news was published, X-Force: Under Attack had 31 user reviews on Steam, with a 96% positive rating. A single negative review posted after the delisting announcement caused the previously perfect 100% positive rating to drop. During the Steam Autumn Sale, the game was offered at an 80% discount, selling for 140 JPY (including tax), with the promotion ending at 2:00 AM on October 9, ahead of its October 30 delisting date.
