The System Shock Binge series project, announced in 2021, has come to an end; the title will no longer be adapted into a series by Binge. Stephen Kick, head of Nightdive Studios, stated that while initial scripts were written and discussions held with screenwriters, the project essentially stalled at that stage.
When discussing the project with FRVR, Kick mentioned that the company they had previously partnered with had also secured adaptation rights for other video game titles. The currently announced Binge series plan for System Shock will not be moving forward.
Kick still hopes that System Shock will have the opportunity to be adapted into a TV series, streaming show, or film in the future. Currently, there are no confirmed plans for new adaptation projects.
