Ubisoft announced on October 9 that the tactical shooter mobile game Rainbow Six Mobile will end its service on January 15, 2027. The game only officially launched globally on February 23 this year, leaving less than a year until the scheduled shutdown. Players can continue to play until the service ends, and the new season scheduled to start next week will proceed as planned.
Rainbow Six Mobile was announced in April 2022, underwent limited testing in select regions starting in 2023, officially launched in Latin America in July 2025, and finally went live globally on February 23, 2026.
Ubisoft thanked the players who built the game's community and stated that the development team will shift focus to other long-term strategic projects, leading to the decision to end development of this title.
This title brings the tactical assault and defense of Rainbow Six Siege to mobile devices. Attackers can advance by destroying walls, floors, and ceilings, while defenders can reinforce entry points and establish defensive positions. The game is available on Android and iOS and will operate on a free-to-play basis until the shutdown date.
