Milktooth during LudoNarraCon
Unleash adorably chaotic mayhem
London, October 8, 2026 — UK independent game studio Milktooth is pleased to announce that the first playable demo of their upcoming narrative adventure game, Bad Magpie, is now available on Steam and Xbox PC. The demo will be featured at LudoNarraCon, an annual gaming festival celebrating narrative and storytelling in video games.
Players take on the role of a magpie. Abandoned by her own flock, she embarks on a chaotic and wild journey, collecting various trinkets in hopes of winning the favor of a fallen star. Explore a small but dense nonlinear open world where you can peck, steal, combine items, and meddle in mischief.
Bad Magpie will launch on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox PC in 2027.
About Bad Magpie
Bad Magpie is a narrative adventure game about a one-winged magpie searching for her lost flock, all while harboring an almost pathological obsession with a fallen star. Steal shiny trinkets, cause chaos everywhere, and stick your beak into matters that are none of your business.
Key Features
● You are a magpie — With only one wing, no flock, and a single obsession: a fallen star who wants nothing but trinkets. Your plan is simple: find these trinkets, win the star's favor, and heal your loneliness.
● A world full of secrets — From screaming into a megaphone to shatter glass, to pecking at flint to spark a flame, the world of Bad Magpie follows a bouncy, cartoonish logic that rewards every curious player willing to mess around. Each puzzle has multiple solutions, most of which were intentionally designed by the developers.
● A lingering mystery — A mysterious vision haunts you throughout. What exactly is it? Why does it appear now? And how long will that star keep you distracted?
You can find the game on Steam and Xbox.
