Apex Legends introduced the EA Javelin anti-cheat measures on September 29. Reports indicate that in its first week, the system prevented 265,550 instances of cheating, while 12,969 accounts were banned during the same period. These two figures do not correspond one-to-one: Respawn emphasized in its official report that Javelin is designed not only to identify and ban cheaters but also to render cheat software and attempts ineffective from the moment they run. As a result, many intercepted actions do not lead to account bans.
First-week data also revealed that the anti-cheat team tracked 40 types of cheat programs, successfully disrupting 91% of them. Hardware cheats were also a major focus. In terms of specific bans, Aimzenix led with 4,058 cases, followed by Cronus with 1,201, XIM with 199, and Titan with 141. These actions were based on detection results and evidence capable of distinguishing cheating behavior from legitimate hardware use, rather than simply banning users for detecting third-party devices.
EA also confirmed it is investigating several egregious cheating videos circulating online and announced that anti-cheat updates for console platforms will be revealed in the coming weeks. Since Javelin is a PC-based system, this report primarily addresses PC players, but officials explicitly stated that console platforms are also covered under their anti-cheat efforts.
