Publisher Team17 has announced that the eerie survival horror game Silverpine Town, developed by Swedish studio Wych Elm, is now officially available. The game is now live on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, and is Steam Deck Verified.
In this surreal world, players take on the role of private investigator Red Walker, traveling to the seemingly long-abandoned town of "Silverpine Town" to investigate the disappearance of musician Eddie Velvet.
Silverpine Town combines the puzzle design, resource, and inventory management of classic survival horror games with Metroidvania-style exploration. Locked doors, hidden paths, and dangers scattered throughout the town await players to uncover them one by one.
As Walker delves deeper into the town's dark secrets, players will encounter horrifying entities roaming the streets, battle nightmare demon lords lurking in the shadows, and ultimately unravel the mystery behind Eddie Velvet's disappearance.
Hand-drawn rotoscope animation combined with a 2.5D side-scrolling perspective creates Silverpine Town's unique and captivating surreal experience. The game is priced at 90 RMB, with a 10% launch discount bringing it down to 81 RMB.

Linus Larsson, co-founder of Wych Elm, stated:
"Silverpine Town has been in development for four years. For our team of just five people, it has been a long and strange journey. We are incredibly excited to finally invite all players into this town to experience this journey of gradually descending into a surreal world themselves.
"Silverpine Town is our love letter to survival horror, Metroidvania, and 1990s neo-noir detective fiction, all wrapped in an arthouse film style. These inspirations are woven into the eerie town we've created. We hope to give players a feeling that's common in films but rarely experienced firsthand in games."
Harley Homewood, General Manager at Team17, stated:
"It's always a pleasure to work with partners we know and trust. The team at Wych Elm previously created the BAFTA-winning Yoku's Island Express for Team17, and they haven't disappointed us this time either.
From rotoscope motion capture to unsettling narrative design, they have achieved innovation within a mature genre proven by countless titles, ultimately delivering a truly unique game."
